I can finally say we have begun our blueberry farm! I feel very good about our first day working down there on the future field. We cleared about 10 trees, limbed most of them and stacked them to cut up for firewood. It was very hot, about 85 degrees, but we kept at it. It's a great feeling after all these months waiting! We made a small clearing.
I thought we would have had many plants in by now, but we were simply too busy. First there was the move in, the east coast trip, then there was the winter project--building a room for T in the basement. It took soooo long! And then we had to clean out the gameroom for summer guests. Eric's folks were here in June for T's graduation ceremony and party. Then our Basque exchange student came for the month of July. We did a lot of vacationing while Ane was here.
FINALLY we have time to work on our farm. It has been a long time coming, but we have made a start. I would post pictures if this computer would let me. Maybe next time.
